Dr. Alexandra Russell

Dr. Russell is an integrative pediatric gastroenterologist at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. She completed her undergraduate degree and medical degree at Duke University. She then came to Vanderbilt Medical Center for residency and fellowship, while concurrently completing an Integrative Medicine fellowship from the University of Arizona. She is an assistant professor of pediatrics and does both clinical work and multidisciplinary research focusing on the pathophysiology and treatment of chronic pediatric nausea. Her work has been supported by NIH R01 funding as well as funding from Weil Foundation grants. She also serves as the Chair of the integrative medicine working group for the North American Society of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition.
